Is it possible to graduate from GA-PCOM MS in biomedical science and go to MD school?

I am a rising senior in college and I don't have fantastic grades (<3.0 GPA). My goal is to get into medical school, so I recognize the fact that I need to take post-bac classes or similar. I live near Atlanta and was wondering if a masters degree in biomedical sciences from GA-PCOM would get me into a medical school. By medical school I mean allopathic. I was thinking of schools like Mercer SOM or MCG.

If anyone has any insight it would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Please be honest with yourself. You have horrible grades. You have zero chance getting into any MD program. And DO will be a very uphill battle.

That's too low of a GPA. Repair it to a 3.3...get a 510+..then you might have a decent shot. If you want to be a physician..you may have to go the DO route with your grades (which is fine as well..in fact as a reapplicant who is waitlisted at 2 MDs..I will likely matriculate to a DO school despite a 3.7 and 514). To say it gets tougher to get into medical school every year is a gross understatement.

IF you ace the SMP and MCAT, probably.

Some [people do turn themselves around by ages 23-26. I've seen my MS students do this, and they have gone on to the state MD school.
