is it possible to hear back from a school on the 15th?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes, in fact, some people have already found out today! UMich, for one, sent out emails right after midnight last night (check out the "It's after midnight, who's accepted" thread a few posts down, the way they told them is awesome). You can find out earlier, actually, but it seems that most schools adhere to the AAMC's October 15th recommendation.

The school I was eagerly waiting for posted in the school specific thread (Vtech) about how the AAMC is suggesting Oct 18th (Monday). Seems to be some overall confusion this year as yeah some schools like Michigan have already started announcing acceptances. The wait is killing me!!!

From VTCSOM Admissions:

Under the rules established by the AAMC, medical schools can issue their first acceptances for regular MD programs for the 2010-11 admissions cycle on Monday, October 18.

VTC will first notify applicants offered an acceptance by phone, followed by an acceptance letter.
