Is it possible for a person with a 20 MCAT (third try) and 3.4 GPA to get into a DO school. Esp. with plenty of EC's and volunteer work. Just no luck with that one test - is there even a chance?!?! please provide input: it is to help out a friend in what they should do.

Yes it's possible but very difficult. You should apply to all DO schools early and see what happens. You may be lucky to get into one because people have gotten in with those scores. You should definitely try the caribbean also because you may have more luck there. :luck:

20 is pretty low for the third try...I think it would be quite an uphill battle but I strongly agree with the above poster...If you have very strong ECs and LORs and hopfuly some med experience with PTs..then you could stand a chance...just remember that even if you have to go to the carrib...you will still become a physician..good luck 🙂

Apply everywhere and pray.

Maybe some of the newer schools you may have a better chance because they are not as established yet? Does anyone have any info about the newest schools and average numbers yet?
