Well I have already scheduled an observation at the hospital in my home town in November but that isn't until a few more month so I was wondering if its worth while to put this under Extra Curric and just tell them that I'm already scheduled for this and its a definite thing not a may be.

If you haven't done it, you can't put it on your CV.

That's almost like me saying, "Well, I'll have a PharmD in June of 2010. Can I have my RPh license now? No? But, it's a definite thing not a may be."

😉

but whats the reason for putting what classes you're gonna take next semester than?

and if so that means I can't put it on my application even though I'm still doing it in November. I mean I was scheduled for aug but the coordinator was on vacation so i was rescheduled. Can i put it in aug then?

How about contacting pharmcas and getting a definite answer ? They will know for sure. You can then come back and educate us about this issue as there most likely will be more people wondering the same thing.

I have several things arranged for fall but I am not putting them down on my application. I haven't done them, I haven't experienced them, so how can I put it down as one of my experiences ? This is ONLY my personal opinion.

Coursework is a completely different story, because the schools most likely require it so they can see when you are going to take your pre-reqs if you haven't finished them already.

You put courses in progress on your application so an adcom can determine that you will have your pre-reqs completed on time. If your transcript doesn't bear out the courses you list, you don't get in.

What will you do if you list this experience that's definitely going to happen and it gets rescheduled again? Will you take it off your application and contact the schools that already have it to make the correction? That doesn't seem likely.

Put a nonexistent experience on your application if you want to. I'm not going to argue with you about it.

i ask the PharmCas representative and she said i can put it.

If that's a risk you're willing to take, go for it. I doubt a representative from PharmCAS will know what's best for your application. Call and ask the school directly.

Reps will only know the technicalities for logging on/how to insert information/accessing the website, etc; not what your specific school wants/requires/recommends.
