Hey guys,

So I applied in August, re-took my dat at the end of November, and my GPA did take a little hit from studying. I got an A in anat/phys so that was exciting, and A's and B's in everything else, but sadly I got a C in physics 2 and i KNOW it's going to look awful. does it look shady if i don't do the update? i have 0 interviews as of now lol i know it's getting late in the cycle but i still want to be smart about what i do since i paid money for this thing 🙄

Update , why wouldn't you.

And yes it's kinda shady

No, C is still passing, and they could be waiting for an update , you might as well update

oh no... a 'C' in physics? are you sure its a 'C'?

double check that yo, I hear alot of rumors of people getting their acceptances revoked from tragic performances like that

i mean, it'll look shady. and it will prob hurt you if you update, tbh.. because even though it's physics...it's still a pre req course and it will hurt your bcp

C is usually the minimum grade allowed.

I say update then call schools and say you are going to retake.

Also , call the schools, ask them their opinion .

Retake?

There are schools that allow you to retake a class you got a C in?!?!? Whoa.

i thought it was mandatory to complete the classes you listed on aadsas?

so how could you expect to get interview --> acceptance if you do not fulfill that duty..

P.S ..most schools want you to send a transcript directly to them (once accepted), so they will find out anyway

you didnt get interviews yet, so not doing update will likely hurt you. do it, you have nothing to lose at this point. hope they look at your bio grades with a higher priority.

i'm not complaining about my C to sound like an overachiever, i already have a super low BCP! so i took as many sciences courses as i could to get the boost, and my BCP did go up a bit overall but that C obviously got in the way of it going up more...i'm just worried about it looking really bad.

i absolutely do not want to retake a C!! i'm awful at physics and there isn't much i can do about it, i'd probably get no higher than a B if i retook anyway.

my DAT was in late november so all of my schools literally just got my scores last week-ish, i've been calling them all. Roseman still doesnt even have my scores yet 🙄 so i don't know if schools are waiting for my update, or if they're still processing my dat scores.

i think i'm going to update but i'm going to wait a week to see if anything comes my way 👍

What he said ^ haha, If you don't mind. If your DAT is high enough then a C may not look that bad depending on the school.

3.3 cGPA, 3.08 sGPA (it goes up to a 3.14 with the update. i guess my anatomy and other bio class overpowered the C i got in physics?)
PAT 21
RC 20
Bio 22
GCHEM 20
OCHEM 18
TS 20
AA 20

that's my retake score that i took in november. all of my schools said they'd wait for my new scores so technically, it's like i applied in November and i'm very late with a low gpa, i know that lol but i still want to make the best move.

I would update.

And personally, I would retake physics.
