i just applied instate, and held off on out of state until i took my dat. is it still worth it to gamble and apply out of state? i mean, is it too late now?

Sorry to add to your question but I was wondering the same thing, because i already applied out of state but i want to apply to more. So, how long does does it take for aadsas to send out applications when they already have everything? Anyone know?

When you say out of state, you are refering to out of state pubic schools correct? I do know that it is difficult to get into an out of state public school, and that some of them have specific requirments for out of state applicants. If money is not an issue for you, then it wouldn't hurt to apply to whichever schools you would like to go to. I would go to www.predents.com to see the % of out of state students each school accpets. I would also do research on each school's website to determine if they have any explicit requirements.

Unfortunately, it takes AADSAS around 3-4 weeks to send out your application to schools you have added, even if you are already verified. Hope this helps!🙂

If they already have the stuff then about two weeks.

As for appyling out of state do your reasearch and see the acceptance rates for out of staters at each school and compare their stats with your own.

Im no expert so take this for what it's worth although I was in a similar position gpa wise to the first guy last year (3.18bcp, 3.5 overall), and didn't even get an interview after applying to 14 schools all out of state(16 pat might have contributed, 19AA)..
The first guy is in trouble (unless you are a minority or female) I would only apply to maybe midwestern and nova (people seem to be getting interviews there pretty easily although it is most likely too late), and the second guy should be feeling pretty confident, especially if he submitted early and has a good chunk of shadowing hours (but if money is not a huge issue you might want to apply to a few more just in case, although it may be too late to matter). I applied late to 2 schools last year ( Boston and Pitt in early september last year), and I never heard anything except a rejection months later.

Did a lot of other people experience this as well? Is it really "late" to add schools now if your apps have been mailed to some schools? I keep seeing mixed answers.
