I took my DAT at June 2008 and I was wondering if its to late to apply in this cycle. I am done with my personal statement and getting my transcript and I am planning to send it on November 1st. Is it to late to send in my apps? here are my DAT score.

I was just curious because I wanted to send to 10 schools at nov 1st. Just wanted to make sure if its to late or not. Please let me know.

to be honest with you yes it's really late in the game now for applying, you have a very very low chance, trust me, if your DAT score was over 21 you could have given it a shot, but i think you should just save your money wait and apply for the next cycle.

When is the next cycle to apply for because I already wasted some money getting my transcrips to AADSAS and sent score reports to schools I was planning to apply. Please let me knwo when is next cycle or if I can still send my apps because it is not late yet right?

mid May - June. keep an eye out on AADSAS around then. or just check SDN. it'll be posed here for sure.

edit: & yes...waaaaaay to late to apply. unless you have a 4.0, 23s on the DAT & cured cancer, it's gonna be extremely difficult to get it. it takes AADSAS apx 6 weeks to process you app before they send it out.

Next cycle is next year 2009 you would enter dental school in fall 2010. I would suggest you wait as well.

You're going to have to request transcipts again for the next application cycle as well as fill out the aadsas for the 2010 cycle. Don't worry, with your stats, you should have a good chance next year. Good luck!

you'll have to do everything all over again. you can of course reuse your PS, but you'll have to reenter all your classes and resend your transcripts and letters.

What happens to my recommendation letters? My university was holding on to it but i told them to send it to AADSAS. Should i request a copy of all the recommendation letters from all my professors so I can hold on to it and send it to AADSAS for next cycle? Please let me know asap.

your university may hold the letters for you but it's unadvisable that *you* hold onto them. if your university doesn't, then tell your profs your plan & ask them if they'd be willing to wait to resend the letters in 8 months.
