I've been thinking about becoming a CNA over the Summer so I can work in nursing homes during my undergrad years. But I only have until mid-August to complete the classes, clinicals, and the testing (God knows the DOH would never let the testing be convenient for someone with limited time). Is there enough time to do it this Summer? I'm going to college in Montana but currently live in Washington. How big of a hassle would certification reciprocity be, especially if I don't have time to even work here? If I don't have time to do CNA this Summer what are some other relevant jobs I can do instead?

1. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=CNA+classes+in+Washington - this should give you a full list of CNA classes in Washington and will allow you to see if any near you fit your schedule
2. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=CNA+certification+reciprocity+Montana - this will show you the process of transferring your license to Montana. I think it might also have a link that contains the application to do so
3. Volunteering and Shadowing might be your best bets to get clinical exposure this summer given how late you are starting to look at it. Most medically relevant jobs with patient contact require a class to get certified (like Phlebotomy for example). If you can't find a CNA class to fit your schedule it might be best to volunteer this summer and work in a non-medical field to get $

I commend you for pursuing this as a high school student. Good luck OP!
