Is it too late to add more schools?

I didn't apply to that many schools and I want to add more. What would be a lost cause and is it too late to add more schools?

If the schools are a great fit for you stats, experiences, and writing-wise, AND you have the secondaries already done or can get them 100% complete within 1 week from today (meaning everything including LORs, casper/preview etc all submitted), I wouldn't say it's too late. Although you'll be at a disadvantage, I have seen people get IIs with early september completion dates.
