Hi guys,
I am just finishing my application and it should be submitted by tonight. I had to go out of the country and could not finish my app. Before I left. I'm freaking out now. Is it too late?

I wouldn't personally apply this late. It's not like you couldn't get in though. It's just that you're risking having to apply twice. If you wait, you can apply within the first two months of the cycle (which is about when you should).

It really depends on how strong your application is. Its always better to apply early, but if your DAT/GPA and other stats are high enough, it can work.

Last year at this time I was taking my pre-reqs in a post-bacc program. I did well on the DAT (Oct 6) and decided I didn't want to waste a year of my life (potentially) by not applying. I applied Oct 25th, 2010 and schools did not receive my app until mid-November. But I got a bunch of interviews and a few acceptances. Tomorrow is the start of my 5th week at Dental School.

If you think your application deserves a serious look, go for it. Whats $1500 for applications when compared to gaining a year in your working life as a dentist?
