umm hardly any waitlist positions have been offered, almost the exact opposite of "the majority." send away.

waitlists don't really start moving until after May15. Send your letter ASAP.

Send it anyway, there's still waitlist movement later on in June, and for schools, July and August as well. You want to maximize your chance.
