Hello everyone,
Last year I decided to minor in chemistry for three reasons: 1) I only needed an additional class (its a heavy 5 credit hour lab course though) to complete it, 2) I thought it would be good for my application, and 3) it would be nice to have under my belt once I graduate.
During the application process, I realized that AADSAS (and I assume the schools) do not ask you whether you minored or not. I figure that maybe they do not really care.
Next semester, my bio dept is offering some really nice upper level classes that would definitely help me in d-school. I can only take 4 science classes though, 2 classes that are really boring but I have to complete to get my degree, and 2 courses that I have the option of taking.
So, do you guys think I should forget about the minor in chemistry and put the effort next semester into something that can actually help me? Also, do you think d-schools would get mad if I drop my minor after I have been accepted (I think some schools pay attention to it when you send in your transcripts)?
Please advise me if you can.
