Obviously Kaplan isn't the best way to study for the MCAT VR seciton, so I've been mainly using it to improve my timing. But should I be going over my answers afterwards, like I would with EK101 or something? I haven't been doing so so far because I didn't think it would help me (since Kaplan's question style is different than EK). But should I be?

Well...personally, I never went over their answers. I did try to see if there were any specific types of questions I was missing...but it seemed like a waste of time. You should be going over their PS and BS though!

haha definitely I'm going over their PS and BS. I learn so much from doing just that. but with the VR... I just have no motivation to go over those answers because I know that those questions dont even mimic the real ones on the mcat

haha yeah...i had the same feeling when i was studying. as long as you go over your aamc and ek verbal really well, you can skip kaplan. if you end up running out of material, you could always come back to kaplan. that's my opinion...maybe other people would do it differently...

Me too. I feel Kaplan is so different from the real AAMC it was not worth my time to read the VR explanations. I did initially but stopped soon thereafter, especially when I started focusing on the AAMC exams.

I'd say go over AAMC & EK Verbal really well and skip Kaplan too (unless you really have the time). Looking over general types/styles of questions you consistently miss on Kaplan as Jgberken recommended is a good idea.
