Hey, I have an interview scheduled for Temple this Friday (Feb 10). Is it worth going, or should I save my money since I hear the interview process is more like cattle herding and the class is full... or near full.

I have been accepted to Tufts and interviewed at UCLA (still waiting). Consider this in your response.

do u already have travel arrangements, or are u nearby?

to make your decision easier, factor out UCLA (an unknown outcome)...

if you would attend Temple over Tufts, attend your interview.
if you would attend Tufts over Temple, cancel your interview.
if you are unsure, attend your interview and have a look around.

pretty simple, ain't it?

If your financial is not an issue, just go to the interview. You may like Temple afterward.

agreed

go tufts...keep waiting on ucla....cancel temple

If I were you I would not attend this interview. It will be a big waste of your money and time. Good Luck at Tufts!!!

Why do people keep saying that Temple is full??

Just because they send out 100 something acceptances doesnt mean they are full...1/3 to 1/2 of those students may send in a deposit.

110 out of 125 offers have been accepted? or 110 out of 125 seats have been filled?

if it's the former, that is an incredible yield -- especially for temple!

don't waste the money, unless u live around the philly area. you're already into a good school and can potentially be accepted to one of the top 5 schools so why would you even consider temple?

Temple has a class size of 125. What is being said is that 110 of these seats have been reserved by deposit. This leaves 15 unfilled seats. However, of those 110 “filled” seats some students will opt out and sacrifice their deposit if they either get into a school that they would prefer or drop out for other reasons. Particularly at Temple which is often used as a safety school (note: this is not Temple bashing, I personally feel that temple provides one of the top clinical experiences, just a fact of life) the number of people who opt else wear if given the chance is probably high. This occurs at all schools which is why a select few get acceptances in the late summer. As to whether or not you should interview there that depends. If you believe that you might attend Temple instead of Tufts then interview. If there is no way you would go to Temple given that Tufts is an option then don’t. I personally believe that if a school is going to take the time to interview you then you have a reasonable chance of getting in. So don’t not interview just because you believe the class is nearly fill.

I called them today and its actually 115 out of 125 seats reserved. But you know, even after ppl put deposits, they withdraw. I think the main issue for u should be what others have eluded to that is, if you would take tufts over temple, withdraw from temple.

Godd luck on you decision.

whoops -
115 out of 125 have sent in the deposit.

i was just wondering, this may sound stupid, but is there a third round? or is that just when they tell people they are on the waiting list?

thanks
