It's kind of a weird situation. I usually come across a few schools with the same prerequisite courses but there is this one school on my list that requires a course that no other school on my list requires. Taking the course would cost me a few thousand dollars. I'm wondering if it is worth it to take the course just to fulfill the prerequisites for this one school or maybe I should just forget about that school. I think I'd have a good chance being accepted in to the school though. I'd hate to take it off as an option. Anyone else been in a situation like this?
Maybe I should call the school and see how important it is to have that pre-requisite course. The course is Ethics. Thomas Jefferson University is the only school on my list that requires it.
I like killing two birds with one stone so one idea I had for the course is that, since I'm a Physical Therapist Assistant and require continuing education credit hours to maintain my license I was wondering if the school would accept if the Ethics course was one of those Ethics seminars (which is a lot less money and time than if I registered for the course at the University. Then I'd be able to use it for both my PTA license and as a pre-requisite. But I doubt those are the same courses. Doesn't hurt to ask though, so I'll call the school.
