Had a lot of good news early on with 2 IIs from great schools in August, but I am still waiting to hear back from 20+ schools that I have applied to. My application was delayed from June to July due to an issue on AMCAS' end, and from what I can tell, late July and August secondary submissions have not been reviewed due to higher volume this cycle. I am also aware that many schools only want to be contacted in event of an urgent concern, is it worth reaching out to schools given the history of issues with my application?

That's not true, as far as I know. Not all schools have a significant bump up in the number of applications. Many applicants with offers have no incentives to turn down interviews at schools they wish to attend (that haven't given them offers). I'm thinking more people are holding on to interviews and offers due to the financial aid questions we all have.

Bingo. Leverage for more aid to help a school protect yield by having multiple A’s
