If you don’t work during your undergrad, will it look bad on your application?
I just can’t find work right now that will fit my schedule. I want to work on weekends and holidays only. That’s because I’m taking 16 credit hours and I will need time to study.

I worked 3 years ago only for 4-5 months at a doctor’s clinic and that’s it. Are you guys working? If so, for how long have you been working?

I don't think its necessary but it will help you learn other skills that might be useful such as customer service, leadership, and work ethics etc.. and it might even show ADCOM that you have great time management skills (very helpful in dental school 🙂) I work throughout undergrad averaging 25-30 hours a week, it helped keep me on track and not waste time.

Do not exhaust yourself though. 20 hrs a week looks great with some ec stuff and 16 credits a semester. You should focus more on your grades and know that for some reason there are more ppl with very high GPA's than ever before and thus in addition to making your file look great you should maintain a >3.7 gpa. that is my opinion. I have a high GPA, worked 20 hrs a week all my yrs with some ec and some shadowing and got interviews at all my schools 8+ and mind you I applied a little late. so do not worry for such things as they will accumulate eventually when you fix your application up.
