Is Kaplan's bio section too vague?

Hello, I was wondering if those of you who have taken the DAT could answer some questions please:

1) We all know that the Kaplan blue book doesn't cover all of the topics for biology, but for the topics it DOES cover, does kaplan give enough detail to answer the DAT questions? Because it seems to me that it just covers the surface of a lot of topics. Are the real DAT questions this basic?

2) If you can remember, what were the most detailed questions in the bio section that was asked on the DAT?

3) What are the topics that one should read about in other sources that Kaplan doesn't cover at all or not well enough? For example, ecology, evolution...

Thanks, I hope many will contribute to these questions. I'm starting to get paranoid about the bio section because everyone says its very broad and the hardest section.
