Has anybody read this free book? Is it a good way for beginners to get a head start or is it just as detailed as a regular textbook? I'll be starting Ochem I in about three weeks during the first summer session and I'd like to make it as easy as possible. I wondered if this "book" would be of any help? I'm already reading Ochem as a Second Language.

Stick with OChem as a Second Language. Loved that book and it does a fantastic job of introducing you to organic chemistry. Adding too many "introductions" is just bound to confuse you. Pick one and stick with it.

Seconded. That book is the reason why I thought OChem was easy.
