Hi,
My friend placed out of precalculus and would rather not take calculus and instead only take statistics. He wants to know, is one semester of statistics enough for medical schools? TIA

Yes, one semester (even one quarter) is enough. Your friend should be aware, about 15% of schools may require calculus and almost all MSTP programs want Calc.

Just check off the box for calculus......it will never get used again. Statistics is a more useful class in my opinion, but still not going to be used in medicine very much.

Similar question, I have an AP Credit in stats, if I take calc and stats again at a Community College over the summer one semester, will that impact my application negatively? I don't know if I will have time to take it at my uni.

a couple math courses at the local CC if you do well, and do well in all your other courses at uni, should be fine

I second gonnif's advice
