Is specializing worth it in Canada if you're making 40k/month?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently an associate who is about to turn 30 and I'm currently taking home ~39-44k CAD a month. I'm wondering what the Canadian specialty situation is like?

How much can a pediatric dentist or orthodontist expect to bill if they are owners?

I'm debating whether its worth it to go into a states residency program and then move back to Canada to practice and I was wondering if any Canadian specialist would be able to offer some insight.

Thank you

Not sure about the specializing part; but I'm kind of curious - where in Canada do you practice?

Are you sure that you are a dentist in Canada? It's hard to imagine, that you are really taking that much home, unless you own your practice and it is a gross sum
