Anyone know?
Yes, assuming same formulation-many hospitals will only stock 1 strength of a pill to save inventory space, or to cut down on loading different strengths on dispensing machines. We carry only lisinopril 10 mg, hctz 25 mg, diovan 80 mg, and so on. The only time I know of a patient complaint involved geodon. All we carry is 20 mg tabs. The pt was taking 160 mg. Obviously, being a paranoid schizophrenic he was not happy when nurse tried to give him 8 pills insted of 2.
Ditto (though we don't have ziprazodone in Canada yet).Yes, assuming same formulation-many hospitals will only stock 1 strength of a pill to save inventory space, or to cut down on loading different strengths on dispensing machines.
