I am planning to apply there but I have read some threads that make Temple seem very dangerous. I live in Chicago, is Temple's location similar to that? Also, hows the program , assuming you attend there?

I don't think immediate areas of any schools are dangerous. So, if you purposely go where it's dangerous, you are pretty safe. The ghetto's pretty close to where Temple is, but the immediate area is safe because they have security officers who patrol there frequently.

I wouldnt say its a super nice area. It does have similarities to some areas of chicago or detroit

Temple is literally in the trashiest area of one of the trashiest cities of the country. I wouldn't go so far to say that it is "dangerous". Would I want my son or daughter going there? No way.

North Philly has come a long way. The area surrounding the main campus is essentially cleaned up, but the health campus is still a little sketchy (makes for great clinical). Just be smart.

And like Muhammed has said, you can live in CC (South St. is relatively cheap) and take the subway up to Kornberg. The train station is right outside of the school so you wouldn't have to physically walk through the area.

I go to Temple as an undergrad.
