Is the difficulty of the real aamc passages ALWAYS easy to hard generally?

Generally speaking, for each section, is the passage difficulty random?

I think this matters more for verbal. For instance, could the first verbal passage be "the hardest" or do they tend to give you those towards the very end.

I find that I need a warmup to get my mind into "reading mode" & that the first passage or two, my concentration is at full level, so this would be helpful to know.

It is totally random...for my first exam in Aug 23 (which I only took half of that exam and had to reschedule due to earthquake), the hardest verbal passage was the first one and then it got easier as you move toward the end. For my complete exam in sept 2, the hardest passage was the third then the first and all the others are almost equal in difficulty.

Also, there is no way of knowing which is easier or harder passage. A passage can be hard in reading but has easier questions than a passage that is easy to read but yet got harder questions. So moral of the story, NEVER SKIP trying to look for easy passages first.
