Hi,

As stated in the title I'm curious if anyone has any information regarding interviews at UMDNJ SOM, PCOM, and NYCOM. My aacomas was finished at the beginning of Dec and I've gotten the NYCOM letter and sent back PCOMs secondary...but I have yet to hear anything from UMDNJ SOM.

I was just curious if anyone knew when I could expect to hear any further news...its been about 3 months and the silence is deafening 😛

nah dont worry, I got an interview invite from PCOM-GA end of last week, and all of my interview have been within the last 3 weeks. Good luck

I'm having the same experience with PCOM and UMDNJ. Been complete since November and havent heard a word from either. I'm guessing it's not good news.

To be more specific...I'm just wondering how backed up the DO schools are this year and how long I can expect the communications lag to be. I'm impatient...o well.

Phenol, not to be discouraging, but you applied kinda late and schools might see you as an allo applicant who added DO schools into the mix late in the game as a back up. 🙁 Do you have a DO LOR?

Some people put that info on the interview invite thread. Also, most people have that info on their mdapps.

I sent my primary to PCOM in October and I am going to interview on Thursday. They may not have gotten to your application yet... It's not over yet. Good luck!

Hi All 🙂 I have all of my secondaries submitted but am waiting to hear back for interviews. How long does it take for them to get back? They received all my secondary info in January. The school I am really interested in is VCOM. I also just recently got a position at the Red Cross and work with a Pain Management DO. Should I update the schools to say I am at the Red Cross? Is there anything I can do at this point to impress the schools to check my application again? Like send an e-mail or call them? Thanks!!

I think you should absolutely update VCOM with your new position. I would send them something in writing and fed-ex it to them or mail it to them. At least it will make it into your application. I have my doubts about email or calling but then again, I have never updated a school that way so I don't know....and don't think it's too late - I have two friends interviewing at PCOM in late March so that means that some of the schools at least are still filling up their classes.

sorry to resurrect from the dead here but the interview list isn't exactly current.

Still haven't heard a word from any of the D.O schools. How much longer are PCOM, NYCOM, and UMDNJ handing out invites?

I think the interview list is pretty current. Its just that a lot of people on here have already made their decisions, and are declining interviews. And on top of that, there were a lot more interviews being given out back in the fall. I know schools are still interviewing, but most of the people on here are closing up shop.

I got a late interview with nycom ( end of march)... but I am a state resident. I have heard nothing for umdnj and pcom. if i was you, and you really wanted to go to school this year i would apply to any school you can. Touro NY is really fast and organized, and they might get app by next week. 3 do schools are not enough. pcom ends the cycle in march, so they are pretty much done (depends how risky you want to be). umdnj you have good shot esp. since you are in state, but dunno when there cycle ends. nycom cycle ends inthe end of april.

I know this could go in another place, but it seems as if Touro CA is non responsive as of late. Did they finish interviewing already? I have interviews at two great DO schools on 3/18 and 3/28 bu I really wanted to compare with Touro CA and for some reason, who knows why or what, I don't elicit any response. Even my email status inquiry has gone without acknowledgement. Is it me? Or am I missing something important?

Mare Island and the Bay Area and growing cancer research programs.. It all appealed to me.

Anyone here have information on whether the shorter, computer MCAT test with multiple opportunities to test per application cycle has produced generally higher MCAT scores or is it just SDN????????? 😕

I declined the interview that late in the cycle.

I had basically written them off, and it was for the Ga campus. Not my husband's favorite choice. I never heard from PCOM Pa or NYCOM. Never. Not a post card, not an email, nothing.

I interviewed at UMDNJ-SOM recently and heard someone in the admissions office say that this coming week is the last week of interviews. I'm guessing if that's the case, all the invites have been handed out. Also, yesterday was their "Accepted Students Day" for all the people who've gotten in so far.

I was complete at NYCOM a while ago and still waiting on hearing *something* from them.

Hey phenol, I think umdnj interviews are winding down in march this year. Please tell you mesubmitted the secondary for them at least. If so, call them up still saying you're interested as people cancel all the time and you may get a call right before an interview.

I am having a similar problem with UMDNJ and PCOM. I'm still hearing that they are backed up, does that mean they will interview until later? Hoping that there is a hail mary and I hear something from them soon.

I emailed NYCOM PCOM and UMDNJ to inquire as to what the story is this morning and I just got a generic response from PCOM. I'll report back when (or if?) they get back to me.

I'm desperately trying to stay optimistic 🙄

For the most part, schools are finished sending interviews by now. UMDNJ is officially finished with sending invites according to the ADCOM. PCOM will continue sending invite until the end of this month and as for NYCOM, I think they are pretty much done by April.
