Is the NBDE part I curved based on who takes the exam that day?

Hey everyone,
I had a question. I have been hearing that depending on when you take the exam it could hurt you or help you. for example, if you are taking it within a certain time when people who want to specialize are also taking it, then the curve will be very high and it will not boost you up as much... and this applies to people who dont want to specialize and just want to do average.
I have been hearing that they send out a few different versions a month and based on how people do that month, the test/your test will be curved. it just doesnt make sense to me for it to be this way. i would think there is a set curve on this test no matter when you take it and who you take it with.

what do you guys think? any help would be appreciated 🙂

Yeah, no one knows for sure would be my guess. I don't know either but I hope the way you mentioned is not true. It should be a standardized curve e.g TOEFL. Cheers!
