Hi,

Recently I posted about being dissatisfied with my C in organic chemistry 2. I went to talk with my professor and see where I could improve because I was planning to take the lab next semester. Well, he got my grade mixed up with someone who has a similar name. I actually got a D! This is on top of the C- I got in cell biology. I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I hate myself so much I look forward to being dead so I won't have to be such a disappointment to myself anymore. I've lost faith in myself and I don't know how to begin getting it back. I feel even unqualified to be a janitor, let alone a college student.

Anyone who is contemplating harming themselves should immediately seek professional counseling advice, not rely on SDN or other non-professional resources. Even if you are not planning to harm yourself, you should avail yourself of professional resources near you to help you cope with the issues you describe in your posts. Above all, we want all our members to remain safe.

One free resource available in the US is the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. Their website also lists local crisis centers.
