Is there any additional information you would like the college to know about you?

What kind of information have you guys put in this question??? Hobbies? Interests? I feel at this point I have explained every detail of the last 30 years of my life!!!

Explain why I have a slightly negative trend during my last year... It worked out

What if I have already explained that in my personal statement? I supposed I could elaborate further? My "negative trend" was my sophomore year, and I have been great ever since. Perhaps elaborate further?

If you already said so, I would not recommend repeat it because it's sound like you are making excuses (according to Goro, do not bring negative stuff to attention unless given an opportunity to explain so). That's why I did not say my negative trend in my PS. Since not all schools offer me the chance to talk about "additional info", I just said so whenever school give me a chance, or if they ask on interview day.

Otherwise, just say what they should know more about you. How your interests in other things may lead you to medicine?

I've always been under the impression that you shouldn't mention weaknesses unless specifically asked

I just say what "more about me" and it worked out for me...Not recommended though. I did that to admit my weakness and show that I did something to improve it. I did not include it in my PS because of the same reason "DO NOT MENTION ANY WEAKNESSES"

After a blind interview, when an ADCOM reviews my application, I definitely want to have explained up front why I have an F on my transcript, even if only briefly. I would THINK that they might say to themselves, "Well he never even mentioned this..."
This is only my OPINION, and if it is wrong please let me know.

If a school is my "top choice", is it tacky to say something along the lines of " Although applying to many different programs, SCHOOL OF GIFTED MUTANTS is my top choice.", or is it best not to mention these other applications??

It won't matter, no one will believe you because applicants will say anything to get an acceptance

Valid point. I really just want to put it in there because it ends the essay nicely... its aesthetically pleasing.

So tell em about ur great uncle Bill Gatez and how youre his favorite nephew

On the other side of the coin, I was advised by an admissions counselor at X DO school, if I truly feel this way (which I do), to express that X DO school is where my heart lies, would withdraw all other apps if accepted, etc in the "additional info" section. This is the only school I put something like this for because it's the only place for which it's true. Worked out really well for me.
