MD Is there anyone with a recent MD from the US now practicing in the UK?

Hey all!

I'm hoping there is someone here who can answer my questions. Is there anyone who graduated in the last few years from a US MD program that is now practicing in the UK?

What were your steps to get there out of graduation from medical school?
Did you do your residency/internship in the US? or did you do an equivalent overseas?
How did the GMC in the UK view your degree? Did they make you get further training?

For anesthesia, training in UK and Canada are 5 years, not 4, so US trained docs need a fellowship year.

If you want to practice in the UK, you are probably best off going to medical school there.
