I am not happy with my MCAT so I decided to take a gap year. I got verified and used a throwaway school. I am considered a reapplicant? Do I need to notify AMCAS I'm no longer applying?

You are only a reapplicant at the throwaway, and this is exactly why you use one. You don't have to notify anyone. AMCAS won't care, and your throwaway will figure it out when you don't submit a secondary.
