hey guys,

I have a question:
I am applying for pharmacy school for fall 2008. ( still undergrad..senior) My GPA is around 2.9🙁, ( had some bad semesters) but I have been a certified pharmacy technician for 3 years😳, with experience in retail and currently working as a Pediatric Pharmacy technician in a children's hospital. I have done research with the National Science Foundation and two years with the National Institute of Health. I dont know how well I did on my Pcats. ( haven't yet recieved the scores) . I guess what i'm getting at is,

What are my chances on getting into Pharmacy school? Please be honest. Thanks!!😍

What is your science GPA?

you have hope but you need to really rock the PCAT! your chances would go up a lot if you can get that GPA to 3.0+

people have gotten in w/ ur GPA, but very few. however, i think ur E.C will save u. i'm guessing ur chances may be in the 60-70%. if u can get the GPA above 3.0, then ur chances of getting in goes up a lot........

Very few people on this forum maybe, but this forum is not necessarily representative of all applicants.

It's true if you can get up to a 3.0 it'll help, b/c 3.0 is a cut off for some schools.

Do well on the pcat and you have a good shot! Just go for it!

with you ECs, i think you have a good chance. just hope that you did well on your PCAT and apply to a lot of schools. try to prefect your app/essays and turn them in early! you have a better chance of getting in if you submit your application in the beginning of the rolling cycle. i also had a 2.9 gpa as an undergrad. i got into two pharmacy schools and declined a third interview. there's hope!
