While wondering what I'll do if my MCAT is subpar to my practice scores..I came up with this q....

If you withdraw AMCAS before being verified, before sending primaries/letters (but after receiving automatic primaries) are you counted as a reapplicant? I found threads related to this, but no one really gave a definitive answer, and the responses were somewhat ambiguous as to whether the poster was considering whether one would be a reapp before being verified (as opposed to after, which I know in that case you are considered one).

I feel like it goes through a bunch of 'are you sure' before you submit. I think when you submit a primary application, you become an applicant (and a reapplicant thereafter).

There's some distinction between submitted and verified, but I feel like 'submitted' is the major hurdle to get through on AMCAS's side (though not the more time consuming). Reapplicants (those that have submitted once) have an easier time filling out the application, as AMCAS will save your personal info. And on their end, they have a file started for you (having just submitted), so they'll add to a reapplicant's data rather than starting fresh for an applicant.
