hello im currently a junior in uni,

I have done a fair amount of research throughout college and will continue to do so. Is doing a more traditional internship like with the FBI or Goldman instead something more related like research or clinical stuff a waste of time as a premed? I just want to experience different environments while i prepare my applications.
thanks

Uhh the Federal Bureau of Investigation or Goldman Sachs?

Lol I’m lost. I know that can’t be what he means

Please please please do the FBI/Goldman Sachs internship. It's different, and it will give you some good experience in case medical school doesn't work out.

Remember that the majority of people DON'T get into medical school. If you don't get in, what are you going to do?

Aside from having a good GPA and a good MCAT, all you really need is some clinical and non-clinical volunteering. Research helps, and if you're really interested in it, you should do it, but it is NOT necessary.

(You can always do research once you get into medical school anyways.)
