I have a friend in her second year as a physical therapist. She works 7 days a week. She said she made 190,000 this last year. Is this a possible figure?

OMG, she's paying off that debt as fast as she can isn't she

If that is true, I expect a breakdown on what state, what company and what area!!

I want in on some of that!

Why not? Let's say Job A involves 4 10s. Job B involves 3 10s or even 12s. It's like having 2 full-time jobs. 95k/yr/job sounds reasonable, times 2 for a total of 190k. That can't continue forever, but if she's young, single, no kids, etc, go for it.

I certainly think it is possible but HIGHLY IMPLAUSIBLE! There are certain areas of the country that pay upwards of $100 per/hr for rehab services(i.e. home care). This is the exception to the rule, but not impossible. If a person worked surgeon hours at multiple clinics then they could bank that much. Must be nice! I wouldn't mind some of that action either😎!

I will be 48 when I graduate from PT school, but I have no wife and no kids....soooo, I will be looking for an opportunity like that. Would be nice to pay off loans very quickly, then do it a couple more years to bank some savings.

Yikes. Who wants to work 80 hrs a week? Even if you don't have kids/SO, that doesn't mean you don't have a life. I'm sure that would get old pretty quickly.

You would think that one wouldn't want to work 15-18hrs/day, but there are sooo many people who can't imagine themselves doing much more. Some do it for the money while others do it because it is inherent to their personality. Depends on the person, but I agree 80-100hrs/week is pretty tough on any person!

I have a feeling the OP might be trolling us. Highly suspicious 1st post.

How different would this schedule be from going to school and working full time? I am not in PT school yet, but I imagine the schedule is rigorous as well. I would imagine that after working so hard for so long, people have a hard time slowing down, and if they've already been at it, why not continue and make some bank?
