At the end of the semester I'll have completed Bio 1/2 and Stats. Working full time at the moment. I want to make the 2017 application cycle (less time out of the workforce / tuition bills). I'd have to quit and get a part time job starting next summer. Is this plan even possible?

Summer I - CC
Chem 1
Phys 1 (algebra based)

Summer 2 - CC
Chem 2
Phys 2

Fall 2016 - University
Ochem 1
Genetics
Psych
Elective

Spring 2017 - University
Ochem 2
Cell Bio
Biochem
Elective

MCAT - Apr/May 2017

Apply in June.

It seems like those summer courses are probably short semesters? I would seriously reconsider that workload and the fact you'd be taking TWO physical science classes at once, 3x as fast. Granted, this is coming from a person who isn't great in math, but I took general chemistry 1 over a short summer semester and almost instantly regretted it. Retaking it now in a full term.

Your summer sessions are unrealistic. If those are two 6-week semesters, then you should budget taking one class per summer semester.

I think you're right. I could add physics to the fall and spring semesters. Of course Ochem, biochem, and physics 2 sounds impossible. Maybe this isn't doable. IDK.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you space out your courses and MCAT prep more. Your schedule reads as though you are trying to fit all of the classes in before the next application cycle. I totally get wanting to do this but the schedule that you posted is unrealistic. Taking ochem and physics is tough. Adding biochemistry, makes it significantly tougher (if they let you enroll in biochem after ochem 1). The part that really worries me is doing MCAT prep while taking a very heavy load of classes. Ideally, you need to study for the MCAT when it is your only priority. The MCAT is a test that you really only want to take once.

I would recommend taking biochem at a later date, and physics and ochem during the year. I would then devote either the fall or spring 2018 to MCAT prep and plan to apply in June 2018.

I posted in esob's thread about this same issue so I won't rehash it here but I agree with GreenDuck12.

If you end up applying 2018, come join us in the class of 2023 thread.

Yep, like most of us non-trad's, you will eventually have to come to the conclusion that if you want the strongest application possible, then you will inevitably end up applying later that you had anticipated.
