I was wondering if anyone knew how schools few grade progressions. I had some early on bad grades before I took a few years off of school to work and it has hurt my GPA. Now that I am back I have a much better GPA at 3.7, what do you think here are my stats.

Overall GPA: 3.18
BCP GPA: 3.108
Science GPA: 3.31

DAT
PA: 19
QR: 18
Bio: 19
GC: 19
OC: 21
TS: 20
AA: 20

100+ hours volunteer work
Chemical engineering major

Just wondering what you guys thought? I applied to the following schools most are in CA as I am a resident.

Loma Linda, Meharry, NYU, UCLA, UCSF, USC, UOP, Western

-Thanks

Just my opinion.....BUT...

I think your stats are fine 👍 Your stats won't break you, but they won't necessarily make you either.

DAT is good. Science GPA is fine. Only concern I have is your cGPA... it's a little on the lower end. BCP is a little low too, but it's above 3.0 👍 My BCP is slightly below 3.0. Upward trend is a big plus. Regardless of what people say, numbers aren't everything. Just make sure the other puzzle pieces of your application are SOLID because they are just as important and can make you or break you.

Good luck! 🙂

What did you do to better your application that didn't have to do with DAT or GPA?

I wrote a mighty fine personal statement (or at least that's what others told me), and I have good volunteering experiences 🙂 I also have a lot of faith that my letter writer's did a good job (they knew me well enough). I checked over my whole application to make sure I did not have any errors. And when secondary applications came around, I made sure I wrote an honest, but good answer to their essays. Depending on the question, I either wrote a couple sentences or a couple paragraphs. Be honest! I think that's really important. I hope this helps! Good luck! 🙂

BTW, this is GPA related, but I had an upward trend as well 🙂

Thanks for the heads up just gonna cross my fingers now lol
