Hi, Do you guys think this statement is okay in a secondary optional essay?
The prompt is essentially please inform us anything you'd like us to know.

Thanks for your help!

"In my AMCAS primary application, I have mentioned in the “Work/ Activities” section that my co-author publication from Dr. XXXX’s Laboratory at XXXX’s Hospital has been accepted by XXXX. I would like to update the admissions committee about its status. This article has been published by XXX on June 25, 2010 as a featured research article. The citation is as follows:

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"

To me it looks fine... but my own personal reaction is meh

I don't know if others agree but the step from accepted to seeing it published doesn't add much impact to your application?

I suppose that this is okay - but you might be better off sending this information in an update letter to the school. I think you could use the section for something more meaningful, like why you want to go to that particular school.
