This is a Dubai based institution which claims to have connections with Purdue.
It also claims to be accredited.
It offers Graduate programs in Pharmacy and in Engineering. An unusual combination to be sure.

A few things make me suspicious:
1 the fact that it has a .com and not a .edu addy.
2 Its US Address is a PO Box though its Dubai address is given.
3 It is very low priced.

I really would like to believe that this is legit because a low cost online school with a pharmacy program seems too good to be true, but my 6th sense tells me that this is a Diploma Mill.

Or am I being suspicious.

Who knows if it's legit or not but you just used the words "low cost" and "online" together in the same sentence...run far, far away.

Seems to me that it walks like a duck and talks like a duck... chances are it's a duck. From what you describe, and I have not checked it out for myself, it sounds like a diploma mill.

As the BBB says if its too good to be true, than it always is.

Could be. They claim accredidation but what kind is really not stated.

Reference from Purdue's page re: the Gateway Institute...

Prices for education are more than likely subsidized by the UAE.

It also appears the last update for that site was ~2002. Hard to say if it's still operating.

I will check up on that and let you know.

Thanks for the responses people!

The BBB is a load of crap most of the time, companies can buy good ratings.

I love how people think it's a gov't organization or something with authority.

Bare Back Boning.
Black Baby Boy.
Big Big Booty.

Oh wait...Aren't we coming up with random stuff to match the acronym? My bad...

You all stink, everyone knows that BBB stands for Bed Bath & Beyond
