Hi guys!
I have a 3.64 cGPA and 507 MCAT. I am a florida resident. Are there any schools here that may not be worth applying to? I am asking because I need to shorten my list but can't decide from where. While I understand it's a personal decision, I would like to give myself the best odds statistically if possible.
Thanks 🙂

What Are My Chances is a better place for this.

Your ECs are also fairly important in determining where you apply. Clinical volunteering, nonclinical volunteering, and research are also important.

20 schools is not too many. 30 would be pushing it I think. Just be aware of Meharry's mission and that both Rutgers schools take very very few OOS.

It's an HBCU (historically black colleges and universities) so it takes primarily African American students, and accepted students demonstrate commitment to serving the underserved.

Are you from FL? NJ?

No, and that alone wouldn't get you residency for admissions purposes. Do you have NJ state ties (e.g. lived there for years, did undergrad there)?

I lived in NJ from 2-18 and am 21 currently. Attending FSU

You're probably a New Jersey resident, not a Florida resident. Where you grew up/graduated high school has much more bearing on your state residency than where you go to college. I think attending college in a state doesn't qualify you for resident status.

I am a Florida Resident as of 2016. Got my Florida Plate, License, and use my sisters address in Jacksonville as my home address.
