This just goes on to illustrate that life is unfair.I just graduated from college and I currently do clinical research in a lab with a bunch of doctors. Anyways, the head of the lab's daughter is in college and will be applying to medical school soon. In order to beef up her research resume, my PI has essentially just placed her name on a number of studies/papers that we're working on. She's technically now involved in these studies, but because she's far away and in college... her involvement is limited to simply just making grammatical changes to the manuscripts.
In the grand scheme of things, I shouldn't care. At this early stage in my career, an extra name on a paper with mine, shouldn't mean much. Anyways, what do you guys think?
