Hi,i wanted to ask with you peple who are planning to do dds or into dds.i have completed my dds and now its been over months i am not getting any jobs,not even any call,is this what we get in america,?I have loans and am in debt and when there are literally no jobs around my area,thta so terrifying,i donf understand if dentists are not getting jobs,then what is going to be the situation of other jobs.
I am looking for jobs near la area as i m originally form there,i tried many places but havent got even a single cal yet.its been so hard to get any jobs,i dont know wher and when i will get it.and even the established dentists are having a cut back in the patients,thats y i feel thee are not many jobs in california..if any one has any option,please tell me..thanks for reply..

Even though I have absolutely NO experience in finding a dental job after graduation, I bet other established dentists might tell you to go find a job in an area less saturated with dentists (especially California)

If its so hard even to get phone calls for a job I can only imagine what might be offred as the pay check....this is the reality these days....if not getting a job is hard its even harder with the huge loans.Good luck hope you find something soon.

YEA,in the coming years,only thosepeople who will be havng some secured jobs will get their loan pay off.
man its second month now and now i am completely scared as i havent even got a single phone call.
Thers another friend of mine who went back to east coast after finnishing his dds,hes also in same situation.
This economy hs really hurt our back.If i dont get anything in next few days,i dont know what i wll do,may b will go for some other job like any restraunt etc.Coz i dont have any option at all.🙁If u guys know some dentist looking for associate,pls hep me .the reality is from next years its gona b more hard than now.

I have no idea why you dont have a job as a DDS...there are so many jobs out there...one needs to realize being a dentist requires one to be very business minded and street smart also...I would evaluate your resume and your connections. Look in your local associations and talk to your colleagues...so many things one can do..... good luck...

Have you tried job portals, Recruiters etc seriously- There are quite a few jobs out there atleast for the moment,thanks to the health market.Make an attractive resume but develop self confidence before you do it. Its a matter of time dont lose heart.

Have you tried job portals and recruiters seriously. Keep on applying.Make an attractive resume.Its a matter of time.Dont lose heart.There are definitely jobs out there.Gotta have more self confidence!

according to ADA 3 dentist leave or retire from dental job and 2 dentist will enter in system until 2020... so enough jobs will be there for dentist 👍

But some areas like California are oversaturated

i am trying my best to get any,come on guys,i am not stupid who want to be working on a gas station,i have debt and ofcourse i want it keenly,dont think i am not trying or my contacts to get it.all people have got a cut down in the business therefore there r not jobs for associates.thats the reason.i talked to some of my batchmates as well as faculty too..no results yet..lets see what future holds for me..i am thankfull for supporting and wishing me luk for it.

What are you talking about ? Have you really seen the ADA site ? There are like 118 Jobs alone in the ADA website....!!! I mean if you are concentrating in a single location then that is a different thing but do not say that there are no Jobs for dentists out there...!! Please do proper research before posting...? Just imagine if your situation is this what about the techies, leave alone openings people are just getting fired....!!! here is the link for Job openings...if it helps....

Actually I am with docsharma on this. I have been also looking for a job for months and I did see those ads on the ada website. I emailed these people 2-3 times with my resume over the past few months and I have not gotten a single reply. I am not sure if these ads are just there from a while back or what?

thank you so much for sharing for your info as all the students think its just go get it thing after dds,but the fact is its much mmuch harder after dds these days..loking at the ada sites isdifferent and getting it is different.

dont take it personally but the fact is looking at a thing is different than doing it.advising some 1 is very easy but to get it done is wat matters.i ahve sent many times my resumes as well as went to those officess also but they say is they have to cut down on jobs due to this economy thing.thats the worst part of it.
