UK just sent out their acceptance emails, so my timeline has been flooded with people saying that they were accepted. I actually have yet to know of anyone rejected. While I'm happy for everyone that got accepted, I'm a little curious about how difficult it is to get into UK at this point. One of my friends that got accepted actually had a 50 on her PCAT, and another had a 3.2 GPA. Since UK is supposedly a top 5 school, how come it seems like they accept everyone?

PS. I mean this in the most polite way, I'm really just curious 🙂

Pharmacy school rankings... top 5 school...haha... in the end we're all just a pharmacist no matter how many residencies we do or how many titles we get after our name or even if we attended #1 school or a new diploma mill school. It's all irrelevant.

That doesn't really have to do with my question

wow 50 percentile, I'm shocked she got in with that score .. hmm.. maybe I should apply here

It's not all that shocking. UK's composite avg is 60. They weigh everything equally: extra curriculars, gpa, etc.

No they accept anyone with a pulse is a more accurate way to phrase it. Stop lying to the children.

That's bull. I know several people who didn't even get interview offers, and several who didn't even get accepted in last years application cycle. Get the f*** off this site. You're a pessimistic jerk to everyone, when NO ONE asked for your opinion here.

A 60 PCAT is hardly impressive. It would probably have been the average for new diploma mills about 5-7 years ago.

Most of the pharmD mills arnt, even requiring PCAT anymore and all schools are dropping their standards greatly to try to get what remaining shmucks are left. Its all about getting that federal loan money.
