Is using an online editing website (like EduBirdie) for grammatical/flow edits acceptable?

Is this recommended or a common occurrence?

I understand that some universities have writing workshops and editors and so on. I'm wondering if online editing is acceptable. is this a plagiarism risk?

Literally everyone has a second (or third) pair of eyes to look at their stuff before they submit it. Even if someone touches it up for "grammatical/flow edits" I don't get how you could be flagged for plagiarism as long as it is your ideas and your story on your personal statement.

I don't know about you, but I'm not going to use others to write the things that I should be writing. It's a personal statement, not some business letter.
