P. 225 and 226 of FA both say IgE > IgG for class-switching.
Could someone please explain what that means?
IgG is the most abundant immunoglobulin in serum, and class-switching is necessary to get to that point regardless, so I'm not really sure why IgE would be > IgG.

Edit: Thought about it some more. Maybe it doesn't mean that IgE is actually produced more than IgG, but rather that the majority of the time class-switching occurs, it's for the sake of producing IgE, not IgG. Therefore, IgG would still be more abundant in serum, despite fewer class-switching episodes serving to produce it, because plasma cells simply produce more of it.
