Hi all,

For those who have experienced this or know anything about the topic:
if you know you will be practicing on the west coast, but want to go to a dental school on the east coast, how hard is it to make the transition after dental school is over?
1) Is is a lot harder to pass the west coast boards if you go to school on the east coast?

2) Is it a lot harder to match to a specialty program on the west coast?

I am deciding between a school in LA and a school in Philly.

Thanks!

I have been wondering about this too only the other way around. It doesn't seem like it would be that much harder. Also I've heard that there has been a push for a national licensing exam so maybe by the time we're done with school we'll all be taking the same thing.
