Idk what’s more dangerous sometimes

NPs that think they’re MDs

Or MDs that think they’re labor economists.
Would seem that a perfect solution for the lack of labour force in med onc and the lack of labour opportunities in rad onc is to merge the fields???

Yeah and every time I or anyone else even suggests this as a pathway forward and is the de facto training in Europe. I’m somehow the bad guy.

the stuff being pumped out of RO is mostly garbage. Field is stagnant. Why do we insist on going down with the ship? Fasten yourself to the future and join Med onc.

Why not? If someone is willing to do a one or two year fellowship to be competent in giving chemo, why not open the doors for her?

This is exactly the attitude we face. Honestly if we took whatever political or capital we had remaining and put it into that it may actually salvage the already questionable career choices of countless grads.

But of course being an obsolete oncologist is better than actually being one.
