It won't save my edited version of my personal essay

Is this happening to anyone else ? Before e-submitting I wanted to revise my statement a little. So I made the changes and then clicked save.... But then when I go back and re-open it to make sure it saved my revision, the original essay I typed is there... Why won't it save my revisions
?? Anyone know...or am i doing something wrong...AAAAAAHHH ..This is the only thing I need to finish before submitting.

make sure the character count is <=4500 because it will not save the essay if the character count is >4500
