ITA notfications to schools. Is this a thing?

So I just got two interviews to schools in NYC and I applied to 5 in total so there are 3 schools that I am waiting on for any type of response. Would I be out of place notifying these other schools that I will be in the area interviewing even though they havent invited me to interview? I don't want to bother or seem presumptuous.

Some schools are open to ITA emailssand dome aren’t. It can’t hurt to send a well worded email explaining it but don’t come off as presumptuous or entitled.

I think that it somewhat depends on which school and where you are coming from.

If you've been invited to interview at a top 10 school you have more leverage than if you've been invited to interview at Einstein or NYMC.

If you are anywhere between Boston & Philly, you have less of a case for an ITA request than someone who couldn't get a non-stop flight to NY from their location or who would need to fly more than 3 hours each way.

My interview is at Sinai and I wanted to let Cornell and Columbia know as it is about a 4 hour flight from where I live. Interviews are becoming more expensive than I anticipated lol
