for some good news soon. Truthfully, I'm glad to see April over - my car broke down, I had laryngitis, and I had to put my black lab, Mulligan, to sleep after realizing she had an aggressive bone cancer. She was my best friend in the world and I will forever miss her. 😍So hopefully things will turn around in May. Maybe Mullie can use those puppy-dog eyes and pull some strings with God.Three schools on my list, otherwise i am reapplying (which i dread).
I'm so excited for today! My husband has applied now for two cycles, and he is "waitlisted" at USC.....so we are praying that somebody will decide to go to a different school and call my hubby! I don't get it, he has pretty good stats, I'm a dental assistant so he got a TON of shadowing, and he even assisted on many procedures, what gives? Anyways, good luck!! And if anyone is reading this right now and is debating between USC and another school.....PICK THE OTHER SCHOOL PLEASE!!! 🙂
Is it lame that I spend more time on this site then my husband?? lol
Three waitlists... praying to get off one of them. Otherwise time to find a job and a place to live next year so I can reapply. Good luck to everyone. 😀
Whoaaitzkyle are you waiting on a waitlist somewhere or are you attending Western for sure? If you are maybe I'll get lucky and can join you!
May 1st is when the schools find out about applicants and multiple deposits. Most schools will contact those students and tell them to make a decision. The student will have a about two weeks to decide and then the school knows where it stands with its class size. How long the schools take to get back to waitlisted students can vary. Some may rush the process along and have some acceptances going out middle of the month, some may take their time and send them out next month, while other schools may just let them trickle out as they currently are.
Basically just because you haven't heard anything is not a reason to get down, it takes time for them to process everything.
UOP and my pre health adviser told me May 15th. I just recently turned down Western and I am waiting for UOP.

does this mean a school i've been waitlisted will know whether i've put deposit on another school or not? i've been accepted to a single school so far so of course my deposit was right away, but i'm still waiting for 2 more schools i've been waitlisted and hopefully they dont count my acceptance to other school in their decision making.. i've even sent them a letter of my interest as that is true..
anyways good luck to all ppl here![]()
You are truly the DAMN MAN!! live the dream!
Why would I be bashing you? just asking...takes balls.. I'm not bashing ata ll?????😕
I wasn't gearing towards you at all dentgirl, it's for ANYONE who feels saying something like "OMG HOW CAN YOU DO THIS!!!DON'T BE DUMB!!" and many other stuff I 've heard from my friends .etc
Dude its your life to live and often times only you know what the is the best decision to make. Other people have their opinions, but at the end of the day it comes down to what you think is best. I admire your dedication to stick to your guns and go down the path less traveled.
It's officially May 1st! Hopefully there will be lots of waitlist movement going on soon 😀 Post on here when you hear of any and/or if you get accepted somewhere! Good luck everyone
PS - please pray for me 😱 haha

😀I'M IN I'M IN I'M IN I'M IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😀😱🙂😳😛😉🙄😀
Detroit Mercy Class of 2013 !
got the call from Karin LaRose-Neil this afternoon!
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting! Stay positive!
The best solution is pay your phone company a little more money and have your phone on 24/7. I would try to call all the schools that you are waitlisted at and ask them about your status asap. That's my best advice, I guess...🙂 good luckHey guys!
I just wanted to say first I wish everyone good luck during this whole waiting process and that everybody gets to go wherever they want to be. I just had a quick question. I am also on the waitlist, but I am currently traveling out of the country. Obviously my cell phone has been off and I have been reading that schools give people offers at this point in time via a phone call and not by email. I am just wondering if a school tries to call me, if they can't reach me by phone, if they will still give me the offer by email or not? Also, what do you guys feel as to if a school calls, no answer, moving on to the next person approach. I hope that's not true, but I am freaking out about every single detail and would just like some input as to what you all think. Thanks.

I emailed all the schools I'm waitlisted at and they told me they will email me also.. BTW, how do you check your voice message from abroad?I thank you for all the input that you have given me. I just wanted to ask, if they did call my cell phone, and if I was accepted an offer they would leave a message right? Because even though I'm out of the country, I have been checking my voice mail on a regular basis. Also, for the schools where I'm waitlisted, I gave them my cell phone number, my parent's number, and my email address so wouldn't the school try to contact me at all these numbers before moving on? I guess I will call them tomorrow to tell them that I am traveling, but if anybody could answer this it'd be much appreciated.
