Dear friends and colleagues,
With regard to what everybody has written here, it seems that nobody is happy with the way CDB is carrying the RT exam for foreign trained dentists. And it really seems they are aware about what they are doing.

There are about 1500 applicants; they claim that foreign trained dentists have a chance to take the RT exam four times till 2008 but in practice they give the test 3 times a year and leave you no chance to have a second try !!! This is ridiculously unfair !!!

In America where we can express our minds and defend our rights freely, it wouldn't be wise to stay quiet. I personally would do anything in my ability to make those responsible listen to what we are saying. And I hope now that CDB has been told to give the tests till 2008, it's time we asked for fair exams. We are not second class dentists or applicants, we are asking for equal rights and we see no reason to be treated differently.

you are so right . we all must come together and make sure that our voices are heard . it is so obvious that dbc is manipulating us in any way possible ...and it will remain this way untill we do something about it .

we truely must do something . as someone suggested ,talk to a lawyer and find out what options we have ..etc . we cannot just sit and hope and pray that dbc will increase the seats or the attempts ....what's it to them .

we must get a fair chance for this exam and not be treated as second grade dentists.

also we must ask the dbc to tell us when we will get to give the exam , they cannot just keep us hanging for 2-3 years ,and then announce the candidates just 1-2 months short of the exam. if we know when we are getting to sit for the exam , it will make life a lot easier .we can than decide whether to start a family ,do some courses or a job.

why don't they just scrap that exam and be done with it..
make it simple...

to practice in the usa you need to be a graduate of an accredited school of dentistry.

if there is an oversupply of dentists...we all lose.
not only dentists but also the american public.
